Hands nurturing and tending to plants in a flower bed, emphasising growth and positive change

What is Psychotherapy?

Sometimes life can feel like an overgrown garden. The weeds and brambles may have taken over, making it difficult to see the vibrant, colourful flowers underneath.

During your sessions, I will support you to begin to untangle the metaphorical brambles and create some space. When we can see things more clearly, we can identify which plants you’d like to keep, and which are no longer needed. We may explore the circumstances which contributed to the weeds taking root and learn ways to keep on top of them in the future. We can also learn about what nourishes you and enables your garden to flourish.

The therapeutic process is different for everyone and will unfold according to your own, unique needs. While therapy can involve exploring difficult emotions, it's also a place where moments of insight, connection, and even laughter can naturally arise.

Psychotherapy is not a ‘quick fix’, rather it aims to promote deep, long-term change and a solid foundation for lasting well-being.
